It’s pretty good ramen and curry rice, but nothing remarkable. Might’ve been a little pricey for their portions tho.

Great ramen, i was happy to found a quality similar to rue St Anne close to place de clichy. Great service.

Nestled in the heart of Paris at 14 Rue des Dames, Y-izakaya offers an authentic Japanese dining experience that artfully balances tradition with vibrant flavors. This cozy spot specializes in comforting staples such as their Gyoza, which arrives perfectly crisp and savory, setting an inviting tone for the meal.

The ramen here is a true standout – particularly the Spicy Miso and Ramen au Porc Grillé. The broths are rich and deeply flavorful, showing a careful crafting that speaks to the kitchen’s dedication to quality. The noodles maintain a perfect bite, complementing the dense, umami-laden soup. For those seeking comfort, the classics like Gyudon and Katsudon deliver generous portions of tender meats over warm rice, wrapped in balanced, well-seasoned sauces that highlight the essence of Japanese home cooking.

Another delight is the Karaage Curry, where crispy fried chicken meets a subtly spiced curry sauce, providing a satisfying contrast of textures and flavors. The Donburi offerings are fresh and filling, while dishes like Okonomiyaki Octopus bring a playful twist to the menu with their hearty and savory profile. Light sides – from the Salade de Chou to Carpaccio de Bœuf with a house-made Japanese sauce – add refreshing layers to the meal.

The dessert selection, including Mochi Glacé and Green Tea Cheesecake, rounds out the experience with gentle sweetness and a nod to Japanese tradition. Paired with Ozeki Sake, these desserts offer a refined finish that elevates the entire meal.

What truly enhances dining at Y-izakaya is the attentive service and warm atmosphere. Guests consistently praise the friendly staff and prompt service, making each visit comfortable and welcoming. The restaurant succeeds in bringing a slice of Japan to Paris, using fresh, high-quality ingredients and balanced flavors that resonate deeply with aficionados of Japanese cuisine and newcomers alike.

In summary, Y-izakaya is a gem for those craving authentic ramen, gyoza, and donburi dishes in an intimate Parisian setting. Its combination of rich broths, well-crafted small plates, and harmonious seasoning creates a memorable culinary journey well worth exploring.
